Umbra estimates how good a spot may be for watching the eclipse, from sun geometry, terrain, and historical cloud climatology. It is provided “as is”, with no warranty of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Conditions on the day — weather, access, crowds — may differ. Plan accordingly and use your own judgement.
Never look at the Sun without certified ISO 12312-2 eclipse glasses, except during the brief total phase. You are responsible for your own safety.
We are not liable for any loss, travel cost, or missed eclipse arising from use of this site or its data.
